At SharpFeed, we take data security seriously. We aim to process your data responsibly, even when we do not store your feed files permanently.

This page outlines the technical and operational measures we take to protect your information.

1. File Handling

• Uploaded product feeds are processed temporarily during audit
• Feed files are not stored on disk after processing completes
• We extract and retain only metadata: product count, audit results, and timestamps
• Any feed uploaded via URL is fetched once, then discarded

2. Infrastructure

• Hosting: Render.com (US-based cloud infrastructure)
• Database: PostgreSQL managed by Render
• Analytics: We use privacy-first tools like Plausible (or PostHog) with anonymized IPs

We rely on cloud providers with modern security practices and regional data compliance options.

3. Encryption and HTTPS

• All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS with TLS 1.2+
• Internal traffic between services (e.g., backend ↔ database) uses secure connections
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text

4. Access Control

• Access to user data is limited to authenticated users via their SharpFeed account
• Admin access is restricted to authorized team members with 2FA enabled
• Feed data is never shared with third parties unless required by law

5. Backups and Uptime

• Metadata and account data are backed up daily
• We use version-controlled deployments and uptime monitoring
• Any service outage is reported on our status page

6. Responsible Disclosure

If you believe you’ve found a security vulnerability in SharpFeed, we encourage responsible reporting.
